Our amazing friends, family and supporters raised an astonishing $1,540 in 2020 for our third annual Extra Life event. That very event happened to take place in the middle of a pandemic and we couldn’t be more thankful for the support during very uncertain times. Even the awesome team over at Bawls made sure we stayed hydrated and awake over the 24 hours streaming period with their tasty drinks! Everything came together for a wonderful event that we couldn’t be more proud of.
This year is no different in that we are on a mission to play games to help change kids’ health. For Peeridium’s fourth annual Extra Life campaign, we wanted to kick it up a notch by offering NFTs to those who watch, donate and support this event as a unique thank you reward.
What is a NFT? Good question! NFT is short for non-fungible token, which is a unit of data, such as a photo, video, audio or other files that are stored on a digital ledger called a blockchain. This blockchain certifies the digital asset to be unique and represents a proof of authenticity and ownership.
As for the actual NFT technology, we are opting to mint our NFTs on the WAX blockchain, which is certified carbon neutral by ClimateCare. Ultimately, Peeridium can not improve kids health by destroying our beautiful planet with C02 emissions.
